Poem: In The Windy City

Poem In The Windy City

Umbrellas stripped from their owners

Like petals from a flower past its time

Wind and rain’s capricious kiss

Lingers, tingling on these lips of mine.

Eyes squint against such force

But it will pass… of course

A tourist in Chicago must be patient with

The Weather’s rhythm and its rhyme.
