In Short Supply, Day and Knight

One should always buff one’s armour,

If one seeks to be a Charmer,

For Maidens in distress are two a penny;

And when these lovely ladies

Desire rescue from maladies

They look around for knights but can’t find any!

The brave knight must thus be ready

When the ladies get all heady

And threaten to exit stage left with a swoon.

With your arms wide, just be dashing

To the catch the maiden who is crashing;

For her gratitude will embrace you oh so soon!

Reflections

Ripple

On the surface

Of the Lake…

A Gentle Breeze

Caresses

Calm

And Carefree

Causing

Wavelets to skip with bliss…

“Slainte!”

Hails the Shore

As he bows

To kiss

And drink…

Above

The Sky

Blushes

A Modest

Pink…

While

Deep down within

The Heart of

Mother Earth,

She who creates

And gives birth,

The Fires

She declares…
…They will not be lovers.

The barren wall
Is her suitor
A calmer suitor cannot be found
In all Christendom.
He is her rock – her fortress
And basks in her beauty
As she basks in his reflected warmth…

And so
They are Sympatico
